17 वे संयुक्त प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा के माध्यम से उम्मीदवारों को जनहित करने के लिए 17 विभाग के द्वारा विभिन्न पदों के लिए 1929 पदों हेतु अधिसूचना जारी की गई है जिसमें से अनारक्षित श्रेणी के द्वारा के लिए 799 महिलाओं के लिए 604 पद स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के पोता पोती नातीन नतनी के लिए 34 तथा दिव्यांगों के लिए 66 पद है।

परीक्षा मल्टी सेट के आधार पर होगी और हर दिन के लिए तीन या चार मल्टी कलर सेट छापेंगे पूरी परीक्षा एक कलर सेट से भी ली जा सकेगी और दिन अलग-अलग कलर सेट का भी इस्तेमाल हो सकता है अलग-अलग जिलों में भी अलग-अलग कलर सेट हो सकते हैं प्रश्न पत्र की सीधी संख्या चार से बढ़कर 10 कर दी गई है प्रश्न की संख्या 150 होगी इसमें नेगेटिव मार्किंग भी होगी हर गलत उत्तर के लिए एक तिहाई अंक कटेगा एक से अधिक कलर सेट प्रश्न पत्र इस्तेमाल होने पर परसेंट टाइम सिस्टम से नॉर्मलाइजेशन किया जाएगा।

Milk candidates belonging to the general category who fall between the age group of 20-27 years are eligible to prepare for the BPSC combined competitive examination 2014.
